Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky (née en 1972) est peintre, designer et photographe, 
Ses œuvres interrogent le temps et l’espace, la relation entre fragilité et permanence, entre le mouvement et la trace. 

Son travail pictural a fait l’objet de nombreuses expositions personnelles depuis 1995 et fait partie de collections privées et publiques.
Elle a entre autres conçu des scénographies et des costumes pour la chorégraphe et danseuse Carolyn Carlson.

Elle collabore depuis 2007 avec son époux, le cinéaste et auteur Alejandro Jodorowsky, à la création d’une oeuvre picturale commune baptisée pascALEjandro, enfant spirituel né de leur amour. Alejandro Jodorowsky trace les lignes et pose les symboles : l’image est ensuite emplie de couleurs et de lumière par Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky.
Ce noyau de création, dont l’union est marquée par les trois lettres communes des prénoms des époux, ALE, a donné naissance à de nombreux projets artistiques et a notamment été exposé au Musée d’art moderne de la Ville de Paris (commissaires d’exposition : Angeline Scherf et Angeles Alonso Espinosa), au CAPC de Bordeaux (commissaire d’exposition : María Inés Rodríguez), dans une collaboration de Jeffrey Deitch et Gagosian à Art Basel Miami (commissaire d’exposition : Diana Widmaier Picasso), à la Galerie Azzedine Alaïa à Paris (commissaire d’exposition : Donatien Grau), à la Triennale d’Aïchi au Japon (commissaire d’exposition : Pedro Reyes), à l’IMMA à Dublin (commissaire d’exposition : Rachel Thomas) et chez Blum & Poe Gallery, Los Angeles, avec qui se noue depuis une étroite collaboration.
À ces occasions, les photographies et vidéos de Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky ont souvent été exposées. 

Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky a également créé les costumes et conçu les couleurs des films d’Alejandro Jodorowsky La Danza de la Realidad et Poesia Sin Fin et assuré la direction de la photographie de Psychomagie, un art pour guérir.

Elle est l’auteure d’un ouvrage intitulé La Realidad de mi Danza, publié en 2013, sur l’ensemble de son parcours artistique depuis l’enfance jusqu’à la création des costumes de La Danza de la Realidad d’Alejandro Jodorowsky. Plusieurs ouvrages sont également parus sur son oeuvre personnelle ainsi que sur pascALEjandro, dont la monographie intitulée, pascALEjandro, l’Androgyne Alchimique parue aux éditions Actes Sud/Azzedine Alaïa en 2017.

Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky (born in 1972) is a visual artist, designer and photographer

Her work engages with issues of time and space, the transient and fleeting, and the connections between movement and trace.

Since 1995, her work as a painter has been the subject of many solo exhibitions and has been acquired by private collectors as well as public institutions.
She also designed the stage and the costumes for the choreographer and dancer Carolyn Carlson. 

Since 2007, she has been collaborating with her husband, the filmmaker and author Alejandro Jodorowsky, in the creation of a common body of drawings and paintings called pascALEjandro – a spiritual child born from their love. Alejandro Jodorowsky draws the lines and lays the symbols; then the image is filled with color and light by Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky.
This core of creation takes its name from the union of their names with the three common letters ALE, and has led to numerous artistic projects. It has been exhibited in such venues as the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (exhibition curated by Angeline Scherf and Angeles Alonso Espinosa), the CAPC in Bordeaux (exhibition curated by María Inés Rodríguez), in a collaboration between Jeffrey Deitch and Gagosian at Art Basel Miami (exhibition curated by Diana Widmaier Picasso), at Galerie Azzedine Alaïa in Paris (exhibition curated by Donatien Grau), at the Aichi Triennial in Japan (exhibition curated by Pedro Reyes), at IMMA in Dublin (exhibition curated by Rachel Thomas) and at Blum & Poe, Los Angeles – a gallery with which a close collaboration is still ongoing.
During those events, Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky’s photographs and videos have often been displayed.  

Pascale Montandon-Jodorowsky has also collaborated with Alejandro Jodorowsky on his most recent films, as costume and color designer for La Danza de la Realidad and Poesia Sin Fin and as director of photography for Psychomagic, a Healing Art. 

Her book La Realidad de mi Danza (published in 2013) relates her entire artistic journey from childhood to the creation of costumes for Alejandro Jodorowsky’s film La Danza de la Realidad. Several other books have since been published on her personal work as a painter as well as on pascALEjandro, including a monograph entitled pascALEjandro, The Alchemical Androgynous, published by Actes Sud/ Azzedine Alaïa in 2017.
